Hockey stick blade patterns are typically offered in 6 to 10 variations per manufacturer. You will often find that many of the patterns offered by each manufacturer are very similar, if not identical. This is helpful to players who have found a curve that they like and are interested in trying a model offered by a different brand. For example, Bauer offers the PM9 (aka Stamkos), which is identical to the Easton E4 Pattern and Warrior W01 Pattern.
While many of the patterns offered by each brand are very similar, there are also quite a few curves that are unique to a specific brand and are worth checking out. Don't be afraid to try your hand at a few unfamiliar patterns and see what kind of results are produced. You may be surprised to find that your puckhandling and shooting will be dramatically affected by the slightest differences, such as curve depth, lie or face angle.
