How to Pick up the Puck with Your Hockey Stick Blade

Picking up the puck on the blade of your hockey stick takes some practice, but you should be able to master it in no time. To pick the puck up on the forehand, first, rotate your blade over the top of the puck with the front face of the heel directly on top of the puck. In one quick motion, push on the top edge of the puck with the bottom edge of the blade heel, causing the puck to tip back against the blade face, and rotate your blade backwards with the puck, while simultaneously moving the blade upward and slightly forward to scoop up the puck.
