The Ventus SLR Pro Carbon leg pad is new to Vaughn in 2017 replacing the LT98. The SLR features a flat faced pad with a full foam core, light weight internal structure.
The biggest difference between the SLR and the LT98 is the strapping system. The SLR is constructed with an inner leg strap for maximum rotation, an adjustable angled skate/knee cradle strap, and a new calf and leg strapping system for maximum flexibility and response.
The SLR features a pro core internal with full length carbon fiber reinforcement. An extra carbon fiber layer has been added above the knee for added pad stiffness.
The new Ventus pad has a wide knee cradle design to enhance pad rotation. A deeper inner knee side panel was also added for balance and coverage. The tapered outer edge on the knee cradle also ads a great ability for pad rotation.
The pad also features an offset toe tie and a higher boot angle for increased flexibility & great lateral pushes while on the ice.
