Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'll never go back to non-waxed laces Waxed laces is where it's at. These hold the place of your last lace pull very well. No more putting a finger on the last pull so it keeps your already tightened lace tight. These are awesome and come in some cool colors. My only gripe (and this is on me) is not measuring my old laces to see how long I needed. The company measuring chart is not accurate and I first ended up with (120") laces that I had to wrap twice around my 10.5 size skates. Bought another pair (96") and they are perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome laces These laces are great! Look great, once you tighten up your skates they don't loosen up and stay just how you want them. I've had mine for a few months, skating 2-4 times a week and they're still just like new, very durable. Don't absorb as much moisture as even other wax laces either. Definitly increased the value of my skates, I highly recommend them !

Rated 3 out of 5 by from waxed laces I have waxed laces on my skates and I like them. I got these for my son. He doesn't care for them too much. He is ten and has a hard time getting the laces tight to tie them Then he has a more difficult time getting them off. Because the skates are laced he has a hard time getting his fingers in to loosen them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best laces for keeping skates tight easily these laces are great i haven't replaced my pair yet and it has been 6 months i only play about twice a week but i weigh 290 and put a lot of stress on these laces and they have held up. the laces would only turn into wires if you got a size too small or used a tool to stretch them i haven't had any problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great durable laces I've used a pair of these on my ice hockey skates for years now and just upgraded my roller hockey skate laces with these and I love it. I was never really able to get the boot nice and tight with the standard non waxed laces and it's funny how much stability these have added to both of my skates.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lacing Treat Love the waxed laces. They slide well and lock in place. They make lacing up my skates a treat instead of a pain. The only improvement they need to make is reinforce the tips. It looks like they will breakup or wear pretty quick if you have to take the laces out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seriously, get these I had a lot of doubts about these laces since I heard from a lot of people that the elites were just the same as regular laces. But i tried these out and i can't live without them. Simply, best laces you can buy. And for only 4.99? you can't beat a deal like that!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice laces Happy with the laces. My 11 year old prefers the waxed over the unwaxed, even though they take a bit longer to unlace, because, they are much easier to tighten and tie because they don't slip when you are trying to tighten them.

I want a very heavy lace waxed to prevent slipback when tightening. What is your heaviest lace?

Asked by: Jim H
These Elite Hockey laces are a good choice. They are very easy to grip and stay as tight as you want them.

How wide are these laces? I'm looking for a new pair that goes through the toe-bridge on my goalie pads.
Asked by: Jason_2263
They are fairly narrow. They're about 7/16" wide. If you want wider laces, non-waxed is the way to go.
