SENIOR Hockey Skates
Senior hockey skates are sized to fit adults and full grown teenagers with a Men's US shoe size of 7 or greater.

JUNIOR Hockey Skates
Junior hockey skates are sized to fit kids in the range of approximately 8 to 12 years old with a US shoe size of 2 to 6.5.

YOUTH Hockey Skates
Youth hockey skates are sized to fit toddlers and young children in the age range of approximately 9 years old and younger with a US youth shoe size of 1.5 or smaller.

*Female Skaters*
The difference between men's shoes and women's shoes is 1.5 to 2 sizes. So, if you wear size 9 women's shoes, that translates to a men's size 7.5 or 7.0, which would put you in a size 6 senior hockey skate. More simply put, go 3 sizes down from your women's shoe size in order to find your hockey skate size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best skates I ever had My old Easton skates gave me a horrible lace bite. Nothing I did took care of it. I got Mako 7 as present. I was a bit worried about using new skates. After first 5 minutes on the ice I was flying. Their forward pitched blade gave me great acceleration. The turns were very tight and I felt in control. I felt much faster than ever before. The boot was extremely comfortable and my feet stopped hurting after the first 5 minutes. Everything I heard about Makos is true. I love them and can't wait to play again. I feel that I am a better player with them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome skates I had bauer x4.0 previously but they were making my feet ache and i felt it was time to change it up after 5 years of bauers. These skates have exceeded my expectations and feel great. I love how easy they are to tie even if your fingers are numb from the rink being so cold. The ability to be able to tie the skates so tightly to fit like a glove but also still be a very stiff skate is great. I was a 6.0 in bauers and a 6.5 in easton fit great after needing a little more room, these are true to size. This isn't a skate for a first timer or rec player.I definitely felt a little boost in my speed with the runner being placed higher. I play hockey 3-5 times a week for a 19U club team, I have been playing for 10+ years. I have worn reeboks, bauer supreme and vapor, the M7 skates have been by far the best I've worn. The only problem I have had is the blade got chipped somehow a few weeks after my purchase but otherwise these skates are great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They fit my feet without being baked. I owned the first mako's when they first came out and after four hard seasons of rec. hockey they finally fell apart at the toe from blocking shots. I did not bake either pair of skates as they fit my foot perfectly. I think the price is still too high but that is the only thing I might complain about.

Can you compare the M7 vs M8 vs Maki II? I have a very narrow foot and a very narrow calf. My Bauers Flexlite 3.0 are a bit too wide and I need to over tie them. I am 6'0' and 210 pounds, so I really don't get support and my ankles wooble without over ty

The Mako skate will all have the same fit. The difference in price is due to what the skate is made out of. The more expensive skate will be lighter, stronger, more comfortable than the cheaper model.
