Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great hockey skate I purchased these for my 3 year old. I bought the 8/9 when she was in size 7 1/2 and they worked perfectly. Now that she is size 8 1/2 she is complaining about them being too small, so we purchased the next size up because she absolutely loves the pink skates. Great price, but as a heads up, these are hockey skates, so it might take a new skater a little longer to learn then if they were figure skates. However, my daughter knew she wanted to play hockey eventually, so we went with the hockey skates.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good! We purchased the Lil'Angel skates for our granddaughter. She LOVES them and they were easy for her to learn how to skate. Easy on and off! The reviews helped us gage an appropriate size. It would be helpful to have socks and skate guards tied to this item. We found it difficult to find the socks to match the size skate and purchased guards when we had the skates sharpened.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Starter Skates Ok I think these skates are pretty great for the price. The trick is teaching your child how to push properly. Most kids do well with a figure skate since they can push with the toe pick. Since these are hockey style skates there is no pick. They fit great and are comfortable my daughter can ware them for 2 hours and not complain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect I bought the 6-7 for my 2 year old (sneaker size 6) and she loves them. We haven't worn them on the ice yet, but as soon as we got them she tried them on and walked around the house in them. shipped and arrived fast.

Is the size 8-9 for a toddler in size 7 1/2 shoe she just turned 3 years old

Asked by: Kathy
The size 8-9 should work for her if she is wearing a size 7.5 shoe. These run true to size meaning they are for a kid wearing size 8-9 shoes.

I'm looking for skates for my 18 month old daughter. I think she would like being on the ice with her big brother. She is a size 3 currently. I'm assuming the 6-7 is way to big for her. Are there any options for a smaller skate for her?

Asked by: bolsen27
Unfortunately this is the smallest skate we carry. This model does run true to youth shoe sizes but yes, the youth 6-7 would be too big for an 18 month old with a size 3 foot.
