Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good enough to teach an old-ref new tricks... I have always been "old School" when it comes to referee equipment. To prevent my referee pants from slipping inside my tendon guard, I always used black tape loosely wrapped around my ankles. This worked fine with my old "Bruce Hood" shin pads. I upgraded shin pads and this was a good addition. The elastic is tight enough to keep my pads from shifting and sleeve covers my laces and tendon guard. I will no longer have to restock my supply of black hockey tape.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wish it was tighter I don't like the idea of waisting tape on shin guards. I've used all kinds of velcro straps to try and keep my shin guards securely placed on my shins, but haven't quite found the right strap. I thought these would do the trick - and they do - just not as tight as I would have hoped. I know there is a "jr" size, but I was told it be too tight to even put on. So now I use these sleeves WITH straps... and it seems to work for now.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does its job well! Holds my referee shin guards in place nicely, and keeps my skate tongues tight to my skates as well. Hopefully the elastic will hold up with repeated washings, which is a problem I had with a previous pair of these from a different manufacturer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid product A mainstay for refs, I think these should be used every time. Saves tape, time and is way less messy. Don't need to rig up or chuck your shin pads that youre comfortable with but the straps or Velcro thing fell off, got loose or frayed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Shin Sleeves Great - But Tight! Even the Senior XL is tight, which helps lead to the premature ripping & tearing these sleeves suffer from. Even with that, these do a great job of holding shin guards in place, and keeping your legs warm. Cheaper than Shin Tights.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gets the job done I bought these for my 6 year old and they get the job done. They would not be ideal for a bigger kid, I anticipate he will need bigger ones at around 10-11, but they are perfect for him now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better Than Shin Tights Shin Sleeves, by A&R, last longer and are less expensive than Viceroy's. These do run a little small; even the Senior XL are tight on an adult. Quick, accurate order & delivery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much better than tape Shin sleeves are SO much better than tape. Easy on and off, shin guards don't move.

Do these come as a set, or separately? If I buy one, would I get one for each leg, or would I need to buy two?
Asked by: Brian H_274
They are sold in pairs. If you order a quantity of 1, you'll receive a pair.
