Protecting Your Hockey Skate Runners/Blades

The first thing you can do to protect your hockey skate runners is to dry them off with a towel after every time you skate to prevent rust damage. Also, most knicks and bad edges are caused by your skates clanging together or against something else in your bag. So if you put blade covers or skate guards on your skates before you put them in your bag then you'll be able to prevent a lot of unnecessary nicks.
