This never comes undone unlike how you'd try to get the toe of your stick taped but it just comes right off after the first second

The physics of taping your stick.
July 24, 2014
As a physicist who also enjoys playing hockey, taping your stick heel to toe will not appreciably decrease the forward velocity of the puck as it leaves your blade. What it will do, that is, if you overlap the tape only slightly so as to create a ridge, is grip the puck as it rolls along the surface of your blade. It will accelerate the rotation of the puck. This effectively increases the moment of inertia (synonymous in this context with the rotational inertia or angular momentum or "how fast it’s spinning, and how difficult it is to stop spinning." Technically these terms are not synonymous, but they will get the point across here) of the puck, stabilizing it in much the same way as a gyroscope or a bicycle wheel. The puck will be more difficult to deviate from its path, and will feel "harder" to stop.

The only way the direction you tape it matters is when dropping a nice heel/toe saucer pass. Taping from heel to toe does give you some bite, that's how you spin on it so that stays flat when it lands. As far as what this has to do with reviewing this product, I have no idea how it performs. I am ordering it though. Keep ya posted

Proper stick taping

Steve, Always tape your stick from heel to toe. This is done so snow from the ice does not build up on your blade when you skate. If you tape your tape from toe to heal your stick will pick up more snow which will impede your shooting and stick-handling.

Proper Stick Taping

Never tape your stick from heel to toe! Always tape from toe to heel. Taping from heel to toe creates more friction and inhibits smooth puck motion off your blade. Experiment: Tape your stick from heel to toe as Bill suggests. Now place your index finger flat on the inside of the blade. Run your finger from heel to toe mimicking the path of the puck. Notice how your finger does not move smoothly. Now look at the blade. You will see that your finger lifted the tape since the edge of the tape was in its path. Flatten out the tape and now run your finger from toe to heel. Notice how much smoother it moves. It will not get stuck on the tape. If you tape toe to heel, that is the smooth path that you give the puck to travel as it flies off your stick like a laser. Anything you can do to make your shot that much faster will be good for your game. Good luck!
