oakley aviator shield

The optics and exterior durability is great, however, the inner shield surface after 3 years begins to dull and cloud over even with the Oakley shield spray! They claim they have the best tech coating in the world for polycarbon based plastics, provided you care for the unit properly and using only their cleaning solutions! I did all of the above faithfully and was very disappointed , only because I could get the same wear and clouding with other shields I have used from Itech and Bauer for half the money!!

Best Protection in a Half Sheild

I have had this visor for 3.5 years. I cut the rounded vents off with a Dremel rotary tool and mounted it directly to my helmet. The only drawback is that it does not come hardware for that type of mounting.

This visor doesn't fog which is a plus, and it also offers good face protection. The attachment to my Bauer helmet required a bit of effort, and isn't the most comfortable. Also, though the vents in the top of the shield help reduce fogging, they also distort vision while looking down--especially on faceoffs.

Absolutely love these visors, Im a faithful long time Oakley customer from the goggles to sunglasses.

I had the vr900 aviator and the screw holes all cracked.

I now have the same visor as this the 924 straight cut tinted.

I will be getting the 910 clear by the end of week.

I have this visor and its great. Its enormous. Extends down to the top of your lip. I modified mine by drilling a hole to just mount it with two screws from the oakley spacer kit. The visor comes with straps that attaches to the helmet, but after using that for a bit I like the cleaner look of just mounting screws being used. I recommended this product because it hasn't fogged up so far, seems pretty scratch resistance and looks good.
