SENIOR Hockey Skates
Senior hockey skates are sized to fit adults and full grown teenagers with a Men's US shoe size of 7 or greater.

JUNIOR Hockey Skates
Junior hockey skates are sized to fit kids in the range of approximately 8 to 12 years old with a US shoe size of 2 to 6.5.

YOUTH Hockey Skates
Youth hockey skates are sized to fit toddlers and young children in the age range of approximately 9 years old and younger with a US youth shoe size of 1.5 or smaller.

*Female Skaters*
The difference between men's shoes and women's shoes is 1.5 to 2 sizes. So, if you wear size 9 women's shoes, that translates to a men's size 7.5 or 7.0, which would put you in a size 6 senior hockey skate. More simply put, go 3 sizes down from your women's shoe size in order to find your hockey skate size.

Great value and performance
May 13, 2015
I bought these skates for myself, my son and my wife. We all love them. We're serious ice hockey players but casual roller players. These are perfect for us, especially with a growing boy, who needs new skates every 6 months.
Pros:
Price, performance, durability, comfort

They're perfect!

The skates were as promised. Was a bit leery of buying online without trying on. But they're sized as promised and we're a perfect fit.

Decent skates for the price
May 6, 2015
I honestly purchased these skates because of the price, but found them to be better than expected. The best features on these skates are the vented toe caps and aluminum chassis. You can definitely feel the air on your toes when skating and the chassis is lighter than those found on the lower end models. The wheels and bearings are average and can be replaced/upgraded depending on the needs of the player. The skate size I chose was 1.5 sizes smaller than my normal shoe size and was a proper fit. The "E" width was fine even though my feet are slightly wider than normal. I found the boot to be a bit stiffer than the AC6, AC7, or RS series skates. I chose not to bake the skates because these are low to mid level skates and it probably would not have made much of a difference. Although the boot stiffness is appropriate for these skates, I found the memory foam around the ankles to be very uncomfortable. I actually cut out the foam ankle pads from inside both sides of the boots and sewed the liners. This made the skates more comfortable and helped with the skate break-in period, which was a matter of hours. The same thing was done to a pair of Mission DS5 skates I have worn too. Although I would not advise taking the foam ankle padding out of the skates, this is what worked for me. Despite all this, the skates performed better than expected with the ankle padding issue solved, adding better wheels, and faster bearings. Overall, this skate is a great price for a low to intermediate level skate and those looking for a good deal. With a few upgrades such as wheels, bearings, and laces, you can turn these skates into decent beginner/intermediate skates.
Pros:
Great price, lightweight chassis, and overall above average skate.

Great skate for a great price
May 5, 2015
These skates are awesome. Got them on sale and couldn't be happier. They were tight to start but loosened up after just a little skating. Bought them on line and got a great deal. Wheels and bearings and bearings are fine. Skating indoors they work great. Love the Hi-Lo setup too. Bought a pair for my son as well.

Ouch!
May 5, 2015
Nice skate, exactly what I expect from Mission. BUT extreme lace bite, the tongues are pathetic I had never in 20 years of hockey experienced it like this. I needed to add a forsberg pad just to bear it!!!!
Pros:
Suggest lace bite pads with purchase!!!

Super Fast Skates
May 5, 2015
These skates are so much faster than my old CCMs that I feel like I'm learning to skate all over again. The boot is really snug and comfortable as well. Overall a really great skate.
Pros:
really fast and super comfortable

Great deal
April 28, 2015
Full disclosure: I picked these up on clearance. For the money, they're fantastic. I can only compare them to my Alkali RPD Lites+. They're very light. And much faster. With some new wax laces, you're good to go. I wear a size 10 shoe. 8 was the right size for me. But they're tight in the ankle from the padding. Hockey Giant baked them -- which was great -- but they hurt. But I found my solution: I placed a softball in the area of discomfort and tied them up for a night. Wham-bam. Great fit. The padding has good memory. Bought at local HG store. Staff was A+. For the price I recommend.
Pros:
Light. Fast.

Best skate i've ever purchased
March 15, 2015
i am a 61 year old hockey player that began playing roller hockey at age 46 & these Mission Inhaler AC5 skates are the best pair of skates i have ever owned. Granted i am merely a low level, (C league), player yet these AC5's are terrific for me. A very solid recreational skate & i imagine competitive too. i also have praise for the wheels & bearings. Next purchase ... my own new stick ... i've always received a taller players 'broken' stick' & added a blade.
Pros:
once i received the right size (had a small issue there with the sizing chart), they fit great. i even wore them game one comfortably, with out 'breaking' them in.

Good solid skate...
July 26, 2014
This is a good solid skate, the chassis is thicker and stronger than the AC6, and they fir nicely. The wheels are a softer wheel but its a cleaner glide, I would recommend this skate for any hockey player going indoor or outdoor just make sure you put the right wheels on.
Pros:
Thicker and Stronger Chassis
Cons:
The wheels are more for indoor use but you can change the wheels and play outdoor with this skate,

I saw you answered another person's question about the width of the skate and how even though it's an "E" width it's not particularly wide. How would this compare to the width of the Bauer vapor line? I'm also looking at the X60 and a closeout pair of XR5's -- the X60 comes in a D width and XR5 is available in EE. My foot usually measures for an E width but I have tried on a pair of D-width X70 Vapors and they were snug, but not terrible. Any advice on the width of these? The only reason I had considered the Missions was because of the supposedly wider width.
By Customer Service on March 31, 2014

Answer:
Mission Skates in D width run just a hair wider than the Bauer Vapor Skates in D width. The Mission Skates in E width are of course just a bit wider than the Mission D width, but not quite as wide as the Bauer EE width. It sounds like you would find that the Mission E Width is probably the perfect fit for your foot. That probably sounds a bit confusing, so I'll place them in order from narrowest to widest:

Hello,
Will this skate work for someone about 230lbs?

By Aaron @ HockeyGiant.com on August 28, 2013

Answer:
This skate would indeed work for someone 230lbs, Depending on frequency and style of play, we would more than likely recommend going up another model (AC4) for the added stiffness, support and durability.

By Mike from New Jersey on February 14, 2014
Does this model come in any other width size than the wide E?
By Customer Service on February 17, 2014

Answer:
It only comes in E width, but it's actually between the standard D width and E width that you would find with any other skate model. So, it's not actually a particularly wide skate.

By Chris from Columbus on November 9, 2014
Hi,
Is the "E" width missions general sizing or is that what hockey giant has in stock right now? How would these fit someone who normally wears a regular? Thanks
By Customer Service on November 10, 2014

Answer:
The Mission E width on this skate is comparable to a Bauer Supreme E Width. So they're just a hair wider than Supreme D Width Skates and they comfortably accommodate almost every foot type.

We have an 11yr old that needs a size 9 regular but weighs 145lbs. Is this a good skate for him? If not, what Mission skate would be recommended?

Answer:
At 145 lbs, he won't have trouble with these skates. They should support him well. If he's an aggressive skater, he may need to upgrade to the

When buying can you order the wheels for outdoor use or just what it comes with?
By Customer Service on March 23, 2015

Answer:
The skates would come as they are directly from the manufacturer, so unfortunately you would not be able to order them with different wheels.
