Best Wheel I've Ever Used
August 14, 2012
I've been playing roller hockey for 12 years and this are the best wheels for the money. They last long and never chunk unless your a larger size player. I've purchased these wheels every time I needed new ones since day one of playing.

best value hockey wheel available
September 22, 2011
this is my go-to-wheel that will never let me down. I always keep a fresh pair handy in case whatever new wheel I am trying isn't working out. I use the yellowish-green Med Hardness wheel and find that it works great for me indoors. I am bigger and heavier than most players (6'4" 220) so you might be more comfortable with the Soft hardness indoors. But I find that I can also use the Med hardness wheels outdoor too on smooth concrete. Thats another reason I like having a fresh pair around. I know I can dedicate this wheel to indoor or outdoor whenever I need to (note* once you use a wheel outside it looses its tackiness and indoor performance is greatly reduced. I feel that if you ever skate a wheel outside you can never use it indoors again.)

Best Bang for your Buck!
April 17, 2011
If your on a budget and are looking for good quality wheels, you have found it! yes the Labeda Grippers are the best bang for your buck! I have always used the Milleniums and they're great. But if your on a tight budget and need a quick fix or wanna try a new set of wheels the Labeda Grippers are another option. I got a set and they're awesome! I'm 155lbs and got the Xsoft Wheels, I feel alot more stable and got the same grip and performance as the milleniums. Either or you what you pay for, but I would reccomend the Labeda Grippers for anyone to try! At 6bucks a wheel... why not!?

Oldie but Goodie

These wheels came out forever ago and they are still just as good as any other high performance wheel. My favorite perk is that they are very affordable.

Question

I plan on getting these wheels I play on sportcourt and I weigh 175 lbs... Does anyone know if it would be best to get the red (x soft) or white (soft)?

Probably best for a lighter player
January 1, 2010
I basically bought these because I needed am inexpensive replacement for and I felt like I needed a little harder wheel to get a little extra speed (I'm about 205 lbs). I did feel a little gain and although they do stick pretty well on SportCourt, they are not very forgiving when it comes to turning and stopping. You probably won't have to worry about them cracking, but mine began to "peel" after only a few games. In hindsight I probably should have spent the extra $3 a wheel on the Milleniums.

Just Good Wheels
November 4, 2009
Switched back to the Grippers after splitting a couple Kuzak wheels in half after just four games. Labeda wheels are just solid. Will never switch again. If it ain't broke ...

the red labeda grippers are they the 2012 dark red or the new bright reddish orange color?

They are the new "reddish orange" version as you described.

Dear Sir,

By Aaron @ HockeyGiant on December 2, 2013

Answer:
We do not have the old style grippers. The new white grippers have a lime green circle around the wheel with black and silver text.
