Stick Technology

  • Axenic Technology
The word Axenic means "free from contamination." A new manufacturing process to seamlessly co-mold the shaft and blade of a Hockey stick.
Axenic technology removes the traditional joint and stress riser (or contaminant) from the slash zone and at the same time:
    • Removes unnecessary weight from tip section for improved balance and better feel
    • Increases durability and the feel of the stick
    • Allows shaft and blade to work as a unit for better feedback

  • SmartPly Technology
    High Pressure Manufacturing
    • Produces consistent wall thickness and limited resin loss for a more durable and consistent.
    • Carbon weave exterior for added strength, durability and resistance to cuts and abrasions
    • Inner layers used to control torsional stiffness for better feel and stick control
    • Material used for added impact strength and dimensional stability
    • Undirectional material controls stick stiffness/flex

  • SmartFlex Technology
Graduated flex profile for optimal performance and feel in all game situations.
    • Softer flex in the butt end section adds leverage/zip on wrist shots and increases feel for better stickhandling control, passing and pass reception.
    • Stiffer tip section allows for stability and accuracy when taking slap shots and face-offs

  • Active Bond Technology
Have you ever had that stick or blade that when you first get it has great pop and a super feel only to have it go dead after a short period of time? Active Bond Technology addresses that issue head-on.
This technology maintains blade stiffness over a longer period of time compared to other blades/sticks in the market place, which means you have the pop and great feel longer than products without it. This is accomplished by:
    • Incorporating a 100% carbon fiber rib that connects the front face and the back face of the blade
    • Allowing the front and back surfaces to move and work in the same manner during impact situations
    • Use of a unique foam core technology with high impact strength that won't break down over time

Stick was a good deal with the curve, flex and lie I wanted. Used stick a couple of times so far, and I like it. Lite stick and the soft grip feel is nice.

Comparable to the 150S
May 13, 2016
Bought the 150S and 125S at the same time. I'm a beginner, and have never had a high-end stick, but this one is light and responsive, and has improved my game. Very happy with it so far.

Feels good.
April 28, 2016
Fairly light stick. The grip on the shaft took some getting used to but feels good. The blade seems pretty durable too, but I have only been using it for a few weeks. It has a sandpapery coating on the blade so I decided to try it out without tape. Got a hatty+1.

Like these a lot
April 10, 2016
This has become my everyday go-to stick in men's league 2-3 times a week... It's light and has decent grip but not too much. I can't say it adds much (if anything) to my shot, but that's not my game anyway. I really like the feel of the puck on this stick's blade, it's right up there with higher-end sticks and helps me keep my head up and toss some nice sauce. Backhand shots/passes feel easier... Seems to be durable too. Overall an excellent stick, especially when they're on sale, just bought another one as a backup.

Excellent Stick For The Money
April 4, 2016
I'll be honest, I was a little skeptical when my buddy told me I should try Gear sticks. But now that I've used them for the past year or so, I am a convert. For the money, they are some of the best sticks you can get. I love the kick-point, which allows a much faster release for snap/wrist shots. Honestly, the 125S would get 5 stars if the grip was available more often (usually not), and if slap shots were just a little better.
Pros:
Kick-point Price Weight (light) Weight Distribution

Stick is good for the price
February 2, 2016
I finally had a chance to try out the Gear Fusion stick over the weekend. Once I got used to the curve and the feel of the stick, my shots were decent. I really like the light weight of the stick, which allows me to stick handle quicker and get my shots off quicker. This is a decent for the price with 20% promo code. The quality is a little lower than my CCM Ultra Light stick and Winwell AMP 900. It seems like a durable stick and I would rate the stick as average.
Pros:
Light Weight Good price Seems durable

July 22, 2015
I play mens league 2-3 nights a week and found this stick to be one of the best I have used so far. I don't like to spend an arm and a leg on sticks so I tend to go with what is on sale and end up using different brands. I will definitely purchase this again in the future.
Pros:
good balance & flex

Stick is pretty good, not as good as my vapor but decent. I've put some goals in but slap shot is not where it is usually. Overall really nice product for the money.
Pros:

Great Stick
March 16, 2015
I bought this stick in the G45 left handed curve as I was looking to replace a Warrior Diablo with a WO1 Savard curve. Since my Warrior died, I have been using a Bauer X70 with (I believe) a P88 curve. The G45 is a very close approximation to the Warrior WO1. I also go it at about half of during a promotion, so that was nice. I also purchased it in an 85 flex for reference. I am pleasntly surprised with the performance of this stick. I have used in it about 4-5 games now and it is standing up very well. No nicks or chips, though I tape the whole blade so I'm sure that helps protect it. The stick has a nice balance and flex to it. I am not a huge fan of the Griptac Bauer sticks, so I was cautious about this stick as does have a tacky surface. This stick is less tacky than the Bauer Griptac sticks and I feel it is about the right amount of tackiness. I'm also a fan of the checkered edges around the lower hand area. It may sound silly, but it helps you keep the same hand placement each time. With this curve and a firm grip, I've noticed a marked improvement to my slapshots. My shots tend to rise nicely with this stick whereas previously they were usually within two feet of the ice surface. I also like the control this stick provides on backhand shots. Wrist shots leave a little bit to be desired, but are improving each game as I re-learn the curve. At this price point, this stick provides great value for your dollar. While I got it for half off, I would consider purchasing it for the list price. For reference, I'm a beer leaguer, and play 1-2 times per week.
Pros:
Cost, tackiness, checkered portions to ensure hand placement, durability.

Nice, light, and balanced stick that won't break the bank.
July 30, 2014
I've had this stick for about three months now and I love it. It's light and nicely balanced and I really like the soft touch grip as it isn't too sticky. Feels really nice in your hands. Durability has been good so far (I play inline 2-4 times a week on sport court). There is chipping on the corners of the shaft from digging in the corners, slashes, etc, but nothing that has affected performance. The blade is nice and stiff, and my slappers have definitely benefited since I started using it. All in all a great stick for the money. I've been quite pleased.
