The shoulder cups are huuuge
December 8, 2015
I purchase this item based on other reviews and discovered that the shoulder cups are massive! The chest felt fine and material used seems great, but I'd be laughed at on the ice because it looks like I have giant pillows on top of my shoulders!

Great shoulder pads!

Being a beginner this is my first set of shoulder pads. They are very comfortable and offer substantial protection. I am very satisfied with their performance.
Very light weight, drys quickly. Fits very well with no movement.

Awesome pads with minimum bulk!

Waned pads with some protection and minimum bulk. These fit the bill. Awesome! The velcro strap are well made and shouldn't wear out as quickly as Sherwood. Shoulder caps stay in place. These are a little more expensive, but worth it in my opinion.
Good protection. Minimum bulky. Light weight. Well made?

Great light weight pad
August 11, 2014
I took a chance on this item mostly because it is made in Canada. It is a great pad and very light! Good mobility and protection. The only thing I don't like is the bicep pads could be more curved, but I think they may "form" over time. Overall a great purchase.

How is this cost justified? These seem like very minimal shoulder pads, similar to the Sher-Wood 5030's, which only run you $40. Why are these three times the price?
By Customer Service on June 18, 2014

They're made in Canada, so the material quality and construction is more reliable, and they have a higher quality, more breathable liner. It's worth it to many people, but the 5030 pads are very popular as well.

HI I am 6ft 165 lbs (about a 40 chest). Medium of large?
By Customer Service on May 26, 2015

Medium will give you a better overall fit than the Large.

Hi I'm 5'10 180 ponds and a 42 regular. What size would I need for these shoulder pads?
By Customer Service on September 29, 2014

You're between Medium and Large. Either will fit, but depending on personal preference, one size may be more comfortable for you. If you want the pads to be more form-fitting, Medium would be the best choice. If you want a little bit of extra room in the pads, Large would be a good choice.

By john from Seattle, WA on December 1, 2014
can the shoulder caps be adjusted on these?
By Customer Service on December 2, 2014

The shoulder caps are not adjustable.

How do these compare to the sherwood 5030 shoulder pads? That is in term of sizing and weight?
By Aaron @ HockeyGiant.com on August 12, 2013

The Eagle SPX 844 are very similar in weight and sizing to the Sherwood 5030 Shoulder Pads.

They both offer that classic, lightweight fit however the Eagle SPX 844 is going to have more protective shoulder caps, and offer a bit more contoured fit allowing for even better mobility.

I'm a 42 regular. 6" tall and about 190 lbs. What side should I order?
By Aaron @ HockeyGiant.com on August 28, 2013

You're right in between a Large and
X-Large. This is going to come down to personal preference.

I'm 6'0", 195lbs and I wear a large.
