Last night I took a high cross check into the boards. It was hard enough to break one of the plastic clips holding the mask on. No physical damage to me. Could never prove it, but I believe the helmet did its job. Ben 3 Stars Good but... March 22, 2011 This is very comfortable, but it is pretty heavy helmet - just compare with Bauer 9500/9900. Also cascade went cheap with the face mask. Bauer gives you stainless with oval wires MUCH better and lighter. Try them both before you buy.
