The Bauer Vapor X70 Hockey Stick is very affordable, considering the many features it has that beginner and intermediate level players will be sure to enjoy. First, it has the Vapor Micro Feel II Shaft Dimensions, double concave walls and rounded corners for a very comfortable shaft that is easy to grip and control. The PU Blade Core has excellent dampening properties for receiving passes and handling the puck with confidence and minimal vibrations.

Bauer classifies the kick-point as "low-kick", but it's probably closer to a low-mid kick stick, based on the way it responds to bottom hand placement on snap and slap shots. The shaft is tapered, so it will provide a quick release on snapshots, which is a great weapon to have in your holster.

Available in Griptac finish, the X70 Hockey Stick is offered in Senior, Intermediate and Junior flexes and lengths.

Not Durable
December 17, 2014
I bought 2 of these sticks in October 2014. I only play roller hockey, once a week, and my last Bauer Vapor stick lasted me 18 months and is still in one piece, only the blade is starting to crack. However, both of these sticks broke after only playing in just a few games. I know I can't prove over the internet that I didn't just swing them against the goal post, but I can only say I have never, ever, had sticks break so easily. It's not Hockey Giant's fault, and I know I can't prove to anyone that I wasn't crazily swinging these sticks around that would actually cause them to break in such a way... but I wasn't. These both broke after about 5 games each of normal play. Last night the second broke after receiving a hard pass and then clearing the puck down the rink. Both broke around the same spot - the lower shaft just above the blade. These sticks are a little heavy too, just as everyone else said. I don't know if this was a bad batch or what. Definitely disappointed in this particular stick.

Solid Budget Stick

The stick has a nice feel to it, and a shooter friendly flex. I was using an Easton Stealth 65s before this stick, and despite the blade being shorter, I far and away prefer the Bauer. It has the look of a far pricier stick.
Sturdy for the price. Nice matte black finish & feel.

If I am 5ft 10" is this this stick a good length for me?
By Customer Service on January 27, 2014

Yes, at 5'10", a Senior stick is the correct length for you. You'll likely need to cut 1-2" off the top. Typically, Senior sticks are 60", which is the perfect length for most players who are 6' tall. So at 5'10", you'll just need to take off a little bit, unless you prefer to use a long stick.
