SENIOR Hockey Skates
Senior hockey skates are sized to fit adults and full grown teenagers with a Men's US shoe size of 7 or greater.

JUNIOR Hockey Skates
Junior hockey skates are sized to fit kids in the range of approximately 8 to 12 years old with a US shoe size of 2 to 6.5.

YOUTH Hockey Skates
Youth hockey skates are sized to fit toddlers and young children in the age range of approximately 9 years old and younger with a US youth shoe size of 1.5 or smaller.

*Female Skaters*
The difference between men's shoes and women's shoes is 1.5 to 2 sizes. So, if you wear size 9 women's shoes, that translates to a men's size 7.5 or 7.0, which would put you in a size 6 senior hockey skate. More simply put, go 3 sizes down from your women's shoe size in order to find your hockey skate size.

Great Skates
March 31, 2015
I bought these skates when I just started playing street hockey and they are still holding up great almost a year later. I play on an outdoor rink that is almost as smooth as a tennis court and I just had to buy new wheels last week. They come with 82A wheels which held up pretty good but I want to get a longer use out of my wheels so this time around I bought 84A wheels. Overall great skates especially for beginners and well worth the money.
Pros:
Price Durability design

Bought for our 15-year-old son. They were really good when he got them, but after 3 months of 2-3 hours use each day, they are wearing out. We'll have to change the wheels and bearings soon

Best skate for the price
February 28, 2015
I've had these for nearly a year. Very durable and offers decent protection from pucks. I even wore them as a goalie. Only draw back is that the boot can be on the stiff side. It eats up your ankles at first. After several games they fit just fine.
Pros:
Best skates under $150

Really like!

These skates are really good. I skate more outside than inside and the 82A wheels that the skate comes with are really durable, and are smooth in sharp turns.

I've had these skates for almost a year. For the first month, about 10 pick up games, they would eat up my ankles. I was left with bone bruises every time. How do I prevent that when I get a new pair?
By Customer Service on February 28, 2015

Answer:
One thing you might try is to purchase some skate inserts. Once you click on that link, you'll see the options we have available. Ignore the Bauer TotalOne Tongue Inserts - they have a specific purpose that isn't applicable here. I'd recommend looking at both the Elite Ankle Hockey Gel Pads and Stable 26 Hockey Skate Sock Ankle Pad Inserts. Both of those inserts should make a big difference for you.

Also, if you're playing fairly regularly and you skate aggressively enough that your skates get substantial use, you might want to consider going with a more expensive pair of skates. What you'll find is that with the higher end models you'll get longer-lasting ankle and heel support from the boots, as well as the option to bake your skates for a more customizable fit (typically this is a featured reserved for models in the upper 60 - 70%).

Can you set the wheesl up in a full rocker position on these skates? Thank you for your time.
By Customer Service on March 14, 2014

Answer:
We really don't recommend using a rocker on any of the modern inline skates on the market. From what we've observed, it has only negative effects on your ability to push off, build straightaway speed, make tight turns, and maintain your balance. This is because with a smaller wheel at the front and the back of the skate with larger wheels in the middle, you'll always have at least 1 wheel not touching the skating surface, which means you have 1 less wheel at your disposal with which you can stop, push off, corner, etc.

All of that being said, the standard setup for these skates is 80-80-76-76. So you can fit wheels of that size or smaller in any of those positions, but we really don't recommend it.

What does 6.0 R mean?
By Customer Service on May 20, 2014

Answer:
"R" stands for "Regular" width. 6.0 is the skate size, which is the equivalent of a Men's U.S. 7.5 Shoe. Typically, you'll go 1.5 sizes down from your U.S. Men's Shoe Size in order to get the appropriate skate size.

Do these Vapors have a similar fir to the Vapor ice skate line (narrow)? I wear Supremes because the Vapors were a bit too tight for me....Thanks!
By Tommy @ HockeyGiant.com on June 19, 2015

Answer:
Yes, the Vapor skates will fit the same for both the inline and ice models. If you are looking for an inline skate that has the same fit as Bauer Supreme ice skates, you should look at getting Mission skates as they are modeled the same as the Bauer Supremes.

Would these be ok for constant outdoor use.
By Customer Service on March 20, 2014

Answer:
Yes, the wheels are 82A Outdoor wheels, so they ought to hold up fairly well outdoors. 84A Wheels are ideal, though, for street use.

What does having smaller wheels in the front do?
By Customer Service on April 29, 2014

Answer:
It increases your ability to make tight turns and transitions. The Hi-Lo setup has been around for many, many years and is as popular as the Straight 80mm setup offered by Labeda.

I am having trouble determining what size hockey skates to buy for my son. He wears a 6.5 Men's shoe. He currently has a pair of K2 recreational inline skates that are a size 6, and they are getting too small. I want the skates to be a little big so they will last a while, but not so big that it interferes with his skating. He plays roller hockey (indoor) and skates a LOT outdoors in our neighborhood (including jumping off of curbs and doing small tricks). What skate and size would you recommend?

By Customer Service on February 13, 2015

Answer:
Junior 5.5 would be the best choice if you're looking for a combination of room to grow and a comfortable, usable fit in the short term. Regarding the use of these skates for "aggressive skating" (street skating and doing tricks), we only recommend hockey skates for hockey - they're not built the same way as actual aggressive inline skates, which are designed with boots that can handle concrete and asphalt quite a bit better. Also, the wheels used for aggressive skating are very different from those used for hockey.
