Bauer's new Vapor X70 Skates are at the top-middle of the 2013/14 line of Vapor Skates, perfect for competitive players at all ages. Speed is the name of the game, and Vapor Skates are designed specifically for just that. The patented X-rib boot construction helps produce a highly responsive boot design for top speeds and maximum energy transfer.

The Vapor X70 Skates are fully thermoformable, so you'll be able to achieve a truly customizable fit, thanks to the lightweight silver tech nylon mesh quarters. The boot quarters are also abrasion#45;resistant to maximize durability and long-lasting performance. Protection is not to be underestimated when dealing with skates, and you'll be more than satisfied with the 2-piece anatomically shaped tongue with an integrated metatarsal guard to protect you from lace bite and light puck impacts.

In addition to the excellent, lightweight boot features, you'll also find comfort in the lightweight footbed with integrated heel support for extra stability as you cut and grind. Riveted to the Pro-8 Beveled TPU Outsoles are the new Tuuk Lightspeed Edge Holders. The Edge holders are taller than traditional holders, which increases your attack angle as you're taking tight turns. The holders also have a special trigger mechanism which allows you to release the runners with ease to quickly make blade changes on the fly.

The Vapor X70 Skates are packed with great features that make them a solid choice for intermediate and advanced level skaters at an accommodating price point.

SENIOR Hockey Skates
Senior hockey skates are sized to fit adults and full grown teenagers with a Men's US shoe size of 7 or greater.

JUNIOR Hockey Skates
Junior hockey skates are sized to fit kids in the range of approximately 7 to 13 years old with a US shoe size of 2 to 6.5.

YOUTH Hockey Skates
Youth hockey skates are sized to fit toddlers and young children in the age range of approximately 2 to 7 years old with a US youth shoe size of 7 to 1.5.

*Female Skaters*
The difference between men's shoes and women's shoes is 1.5 to 2 sizes. So, if you wear size 9 women's shoes, that translates to a men's size 7.5 or 7.0, which would put you in a size 6 senior hockey skate. More simply put, go 3 sizes down from your women's shoe size in order to find your hockey skate size.

Great skates! Worth Every Penny!
September 29, 2014
I got these just about 1 year ago and they are AMAZING! Since getting them, I have played at least 2-3 times a week and they are holding up wonderfully. I got them baked to my feet and broke them in on my first skate. I've taken pucks to the boot and felt minimal to no pain. Great price point too. Only complaint is the insole is pretty flimsy. I hope they continue to last me at least a couple more years. I would definitely recommend these.
Pros:
Quality Lightweight Affordable

not for me

Over all I really didn't like these skates because one they're heavier than previous pairs I've worn I put these on to skate and found that it's harder to switch from other brands to the vapors the boot seemed to talk and made me have to lift my foot higher.secondly I the hard plastic plate running through the tounge made it harder to bend my knees when skating this might work better for others if they like really loose skates and the plastic plate would dig into my shin if I laced the laces through the top eyelit.I had estons before this and I definitely wouldn't mind switching back
Pros:
Provides very good ankle support

What is the difference in this skate and the X60's?
By Jeremiah at HockeyGiant.com on June 20, 2013

Answer:
The main differences are the tongues and quarter packages. The tongue on the X 70 Skates offers greater metatarsal protection than the tongue of the X 60 Skates. In addition, the quarter package (the outer "shell" of the boot) of the X 70 Skates is stiffer and lighter than the X 60 quarter package. The X 70's also have upgraded abrasion guards. What you'll find, in any line of hockey skates, is that the higher you go in the line, the higher the material quality will be.
