SENIOR Hockey Skates
Senior hockey skates are sized to fit adults and full grown teenagers with a Men's US shoe size of 7 or greater.

JUNIOR Hockey Skates
Junior hockey skates are sized to fit kids in the range of approximately 7 to 13 years old with a US shoe size of 2 to 6.5.

YOUTH Hockey Skates
Youth hockey skates are sized to fit toddlers and young children in the age range of approximately 2 to 7 years old with a US youth shoe size of 7 to 1.5.

*Female Skaters*
The difference between men's shoes and women's shoes is 1.5 to 2 sizes. So, if you wear size 9 women's shoes, that translates to a men's size 7.5 or 7.0, which would put you in a size 6 senior hockey skate. More simply put, go 3 sizes down from your women's shoe size in order to find your hockey skate size.

What is the difference between the youth X series and the junior X series?
By Jeremiah at HockeyGiant.com on July 16, 2013

Answer:
Size, for starters. Youth skates are for the youngest age group (4 - 7 years old). Junior skates are typically the right size for Squirts and Pee-Wees/Bantams (7 - 12). The picture for the youth skates is actually the picture for the Junior and Senior skates - the Youth skates do not have the Lightspeed Edge Holder, but that isn't really a feature that players wearing youth skates would probably ever need or use. Additionally, Youth skates are typically softer and more forgiving than their Junior and Senior counterparts. The Youth X 100 Skates are very supportive and will provide more stiffness than the Youth X 60 Skates, which are the next model down in the line of Youth Vapor Skates.

Is there a noticeable difference between a D and EE width for a size 13.5. the guy at a store told me my son's perfect size right now is a 13 but I want a little room to grow. he suggested to go up to a size 1 but the price goes up $200. he tried on the 13 but they did not have a 13.5. I'm thinking the 13.5 would be good but am not sure about the width.
By Customer Service on October 21, 2013

Answer:
The width difference is noticeable, but can often be compensated for with thicker socks or an additional footbed on top of the existing footbed to eliminate some of the negative space. That being said, we always recommend going with the skates that provide the best fit right out of the box.
