Seem to run small
January 5, 2013
This is the 3rd pair I've ordered and had to exchange for a larger size.

By Linda Ketterhagen from muskego wi on December 7, 2013
If the shoe size is 11, what should I order?
By Customer Service on December 9, 2013

Bauer's recreational skates run true to shoe size, so you would want to go with Size 11.0

I wear a 11 1/2 size- which do i order, 11 or 12?
By Customer Service on November 26, 2013

Size 11 would be the best choice, especially if you'd like a snug fit. 12 would likely provide more room than you'll need, although thick socks and an extra set of footbeds could solve that problem.

As a woman size 7, whats the mens equival
By Customer Service on November 21, 2014

The equivalent size in this skate would be 5.5. Unfortunately that size is not available with this skate.

I am having trouble figuring out the differences between Bauer Flow, React, and Fast. What is each tailored for, or is it simply pricepoint?
For a strong skater who likes to skate aggressively but won't be playing hockey, how would they compare to vapor x40?
Will more sizes be available in future, or are these no longer manufactured?
By Customer Service on April 7, 2014

This particular model will not be restocked. The Fast model will provide the most support and likely the best overall fit. The React is next in line and the Flow is at the bottom of the line. The liner is also softer/more durable in the Fast model. Any of these skates will work well for someone skating recreationally but not playing hockey. The X40 Skates will be a bit stiffer and narrower than each of these recreational models. The X40 Skates are also more aggressively pitched, shifting your weight a bit more toward your toes.

Bauer recreation size is running the same chart as for bauer hockey skates?
By Customer Service on November 29, 2013

Yes, the React Skates are on the Hockey Skate Sizing System. 1 to 1.5 sizes down from your U.S. Shoe Size.

The React Skates run true to Men's U.S. Shoe Sizes.

I am 62 years old and do not skate very well but I am going to keep skating ,do you think bauer react recreation skates are my best choice ?

By Customer Service on December 30, 2014

If you'll be playing hockey, we recommend going with a pair of hockey skates in the price range of $100 or above. If you're just going to be skating recreationally, the React skates will work very well for you.

I normally wear shoe size 9 EEE. Do you have a pair of recreational skates that would be wide enough for me?

Thank you,

By Customer Service on January 5, 2015

Unfortunately there are no recreational skates that come in sizes that wide. The best recommendation we can give is to look at EE width hockey skates. Bauer Nexus and CCM RBZ Skates run wider than most, so those would be a good place to look. Make sure to check the sizing charts for each model as there is some variation, even from model to model within the same brand, such as the RBZ Skates which require that you go a full 2 sizes down from U.S. Shoe Size, rather than the traditional 1.5 sizes down from Shoe Size..

By Me from Minneapolis on January 24, 2014
So which is it, regular shoe size or skate sizing?

By Customer Service on January 24, 2014

We apologize for the confusion. These skates do in fact run true to Men's U.S. Shoe Sizes.
