I bought the Messier M11 helmet from Hockey Giant without the cage and I would like to add a cage to it now. What do I need to add the cage and what brand and size would fit a large helmet?
By Customer Service on August 19, 2014

Answer:
It's almost always best to go with a cage that is the same size as your helmet. So Large would likely be the best choice. That being said, the M11 is pretty widely compatible with the cages we offer. The RBE III in Large would fit.

When you buy a helmet without a cage, the helmet does not include J-Clips or Snaps, which you'll need in order to install a cage. All of the cages we carry come with Snaps and J-Clips. The J-Clips go on the side near your temples. The cage will come with longer screws than the ones that are currently on your helmet (2 on each side above the earloops). Use the long screws when you attach the J-Clips. Next, remove the screws on the back of the helmet behind your ears and replace them with the Snap screws. They'll allow you to secure the cage straps to the back of your helmet.

hey i want a ccm white cage but i also want the bauer RBE III and i dont know witch one to get so im asking what do you think i should get.
By Customer Service on April 30, 2015

Answer:
It really depends on the helmet you have. If you have a Reebok/CCM helmet, go with the CCM. If you have a Bauer helmet, go with the Bauer. Any time you try to use a different brand of cage other than the helmet you want to put it on, you can run into fitment issues.
