SENIOR Hockey Skates
Senior hockey skates are sized to fit adults and full grown teenagers with a Men's US shoe size of 7 or greater.

JUNIOR Hockey Skates
Junior hockey skates are sized to fit kids in the range of approximately 8 to 12 years old with a US shoe size of 2 to 6.5.

YOUTH Hockey Skates
Youth hockey skates are sized to fit toddlers and young children in the age range of approximately 9 years old and younger with a US youth shoe size of 1.5 or smaller.

*Female Skaters*
The difference between men's shoes and women's shoes is 1.5 to 2 sizes. So, if you wear size 9 women's shoes, that translates to a men's size 7.5 or 7.0, which would put you in a size 6 senior hockey skate. More simply put, go 3 sizes down from your women's shoe size in order to find your hockey skate size.

Good fit and support, not that great quality.

I have not skated in a long long time and wanted to get some exercise. Purchased these skates on clearance at a great price, and after sharpening one of the runners was loose and squeaked . I was told that this was common in cheaper skates and had no effect on their performance or durability. The squeak is just a little annoying when walking off the ice. Skated for 3 hours to break in and no discomfort.
Clearance price, Fit and support.

All around Skate
January 4, 2015
Just moved up from FL to NE and haven't done that much skating in the past only a hand full of times. Picked up these pair just as a great all around skate and intermediate hockey skate. Great fit awesome ankle support and a great price. I don't play hockey yet but I can see these being a great pair to start off on, especially because your only spending around 100 bucks and they are going to get trashed anyway. The sole of the boot is what sold me on them. When you try them on the sole molds to your foot immediately. After a hour of skating it felt broken in. Just a solid skate!!

I am a size 7 in normal shoes what size should I get for Bauer vapour elite ice skates

By Customer Service on May 12, 2014

Size 6.0 skates would likely be the best choice for you.

Are the Lightspeed Pro's that come with this skate a molded holder and runner or are the blades replaceable?
By Jeremiah at on November 5, 2013

The Lightspeed Pro Holders have a fused runner that cannot be replaced if broken. The entire holder/runner would have to be replaced.

Would these skates be ideal for a beginner? Are they soft (as in not stiff)? Also is the outsole, full composite? I read that the outsole shouldn't be hard either for beginners.
By Customer Service on August 21, 2014

Yes, the boot is softer, as you said, and has a TPR (plastic) outsole, which is more flexible than a composite outsole.

8.0 D would be the correct size in Bauer, Reebok and Easton Skates. 7.5 D in CCM RBZ Skates.

Can I bake the bauer supreme one.5 for a more custom fit and break in faster?
By Jeremiah at on May 13, 2013

Bauer does not consider the One.5 skates to be thermoformable. Baking them will soften the boot, but the foams in the boot are not going to respond the way that thermoformable foams respond in other skate models.
