This is one of the best fitting, comfortable and protective helmets on the market and is rated number one by most of the hockey equipment reviews. I totally agree with these analyse but I still have one problem with this helmet in the long term. The poron padding begins to shift and the glue underneath turns to a syrupy mess after extended use. I had the same problem with my 7500 helmet . It doesn't render the helmet useless but effects the comfort level in the long term. Other than this the 9900 is a top quality helmet with top quality comfort and protection. I would recommend it highly. Unfortuately due to the slippage of the poron pads I've switched to a competitors one piece helmet that uses a different kind of fitting system yet offers superior protection comparable to the 9900 and I'm very happy with that purchase.

This is a comfortable and very protective helmet that looks good and gets good ventilation. Haven't experienced any slippage of the padding like on my old 7500 helmet. If your looking for a great helmet with top of the line features and fit, I highly recommend this helmet.

This helmet certainly costs more than the others, but you can see where that extra money goes.

I purchased this helmet for my five year-old who has a wide head, and this is the only Bauer helmet that fit him comfortably without requiring any modification (e.g. trimming) of the padding inside.

When my current helmet needs to be replaced, I?ll replace it with one of these. This is the helmet my son and I will use from here on out.
