Great cut, but where's the padding?
March 7, 2012

I've been playing for nearly 20 years, so I've always had stuff made for guys. I thoiught I'd give a product designed for women a shot. While these have a *tad* more hip room and smaller waist, and have more protection higher on the center of the back, they also are shorter in the leg. Unless I get a longer pair of shin guards, these pants leave a 3-4" gap between my shin and my lower thigh. While the ventilation and breathability of these pants is exceptional, it's because there is zero padding on the inside of the thigh and back of the leg. Lastly, I've had these pants for two months and the seams are pulling apart just to the left of the front closure, near the groin. I only play rec hockey in a women's league, 2-4 nights a week, and I'd say I'm intense, but I know I'll always be on the novice roster when we go to tournaments... so these pants are pretty disappointing. If you're playing in anything more than lower level rec league, look elsewhere for a sturdier pair of pants.
