Better Than Shin Tights
October 12, 2016
Shin Sleeves, by A&R, last longer and are less expensive than Viceroy's. These do run a little small; even the Senior XL are tight on an adult. Quick, accurate order & delivery.

Does its job well!

Holds my referee shin guards in place nicely, and keeps my skate tongues tight to my skates as well. Hopefully the elastic will hold up with repeated washings, which is a problem I had with a previous pair of these from a different manufacturer.

Much better than tape
April 19, 2016
Shin sleeves are SO much better than tape. Easy on and off, shin guards don't move.
These are much better than tape. I don't get why more people don't use them. Much more convenient.

Good enough to teach an old-ref new tricks...
March 30, 2016
I have always been "old School" when it comes to referee equipment. To prevent my referee pants from slipping inside my tendon guard, I always used black tape loosely wrapped around my ankles. This worked fine with my old "Bruce Hood" shin pads. I upgraded shin pads and this was a good addition. The elastic is tight enough to keep my pads from shifting and sleeve covers my laces and tendon guard. I will no longer have to restock my supply of black hockey tape.

Solid product

A mainstay for refs, I think these should be used every time. Saves tape, time and is way less messy. Don't need to rig up or chuck your shin pads that youre comfortable with but the straps or Velcro thing fell off, got loose or frayed.

Wish it was tighter
December 12, 2014
I don't like the idea of waisting tape on shin guards. I've used all kinds of velcro straps to try and keep my shin guards securely placed on my shins, but haven't quite found the right strap. I thought these would do the trick - and they do - just not as tight as I would have hoped. I know there is a "jr" size, but I was told it be too tight to even put on. So now I use these sleeves WITH straps... and it seems to work for now.

I wear 15" Warrior Franchise shinpads. My calves are normal for a hockey player. Should I get the "Senior" size or XL?
By Customer Service on March 31, 2014

The Senior would likely be the best choice for 14 - 15" shin guards. The X-Large is best for 16" Shin Guards and above.

Do these come as a set, or separately? If I buy one, would I get one for each leg, or would I need to buy two?
By Customer Service on May 24, 2013

They are sold in pairs. If you order a quantity of 1, you'll receive a pair.

which is larger size XL or senior
By Customer Service on October 27, 2014

The X-Large size is larger. The Senior size works well for most adult players wearing either Small, Medium or Large gear.

Are these worn above the and over the knee ,looking for a sleeve to go under a ACL brace.
By Customer Service on July 19, 2014

This product is made to be worn over your hockey shin guards and under your hockey socks to keep your shin guards tight and in place, so it may be too loose to fit on your legs without shin guards.
